News from Aesthetics Asia 2011

It was successful in Singapore the Second Edition of Aesthetics Asia (Aesthetics Asia 2011) which saw the evaluation of the oxidative balance through Panel Carratelli, among the leading topics of scientific debate on the major themes of wellness and preventive medicine.

During the last day of work, Eugenio Luigi Iorio, president of the International Observatory of Oxidative Stress, through a theoretical-practical symposium and a lecture, highlighted the significant implications of oxidative stress in aesthetic and anti-aging medicine and he presented two new and promising photometric tests developed by
Mauro Carratelli to assess, respectively, the acidity and the level of peroxides in the skin. In fact, the increased load of acids is often the primary cause for the release of iron from storage proteins and consequently  they transform  lipid peroxides in oxygen free radicals that are highly damaging and responsible for the acceleration of the processes of skin aging.

Measure these two parameters provide the aesthetic doctor the opportunity to evaluate the use of cosmetic skin intervention and to verify also the effectiveness in a timely manner.

Of note, finally, the large flood of visitors at the stand of Wismerll Sea Ltd in Singapore that, through the efforts of Yasushiro and Takayuki Seki, sponsored the event, a harbinger of new business prospects in the spread of the Panel Carratelli in countries that overlook on the south-eastern Pacific.

See you in July 2012 for the Third Edition!
